Tandy's Quest

This is Part 8 - Tandy's Fairy Wand. The previous part was Part 7 - Tandy's Talents

Make a Magic Wand

I have included a magic mesh wand you can use with any avatar. This wand operates when you click it. It spews out objects whenever you select an item.

Upload the "Jeweled Wand.dae" file with the mesh uploader. Set the physics to lowest and leave the rest of the options the same. Check the "Upload Images" switch.

Edit the wand and set the jeweled tip of the wand to glow and to have full bright and any glow you desire. I also set mine to 20% transparent.

Tip

Inside the folder on your hard drive is a wand/Blink Script.lsl. Put a copy of this inside the jeweled end and it should start to 'Bling' a small light.

Bling!

Sketchy

You should put a copy of the tantrum, aquamarine, emerald, tire, and any other objects you made that bounce or explode into the tip:

COntents

Now add the "Wand Script.lsl" to the wand tip.

There are two curves knife sections. Edit each one and add one of these scripts to each section:

default
{
    state_entry()
    {
        llTargetOmega(<0,0,1>,1,0.2);
    }
}

default
{
    state_entry()
    {
        llTargetOmega(<0,0,-1>,1,0.2);
    }
}

If your knives start to rotate oddly, change the first vector from <0,0,1> to <0,1,0> or <1,0,0> until it rotates correctly. The command llTargetOmega will spin things on your screen. A "-1" in one of the knife blades makes it rotate the other direction, and the ,1 after the vector makes it spin once a second. A 1 and a 2 for the second number will look pretty good too, with one knife spinning twice as fast as the other.

Touch the wand tip, and you should get a menu to throw objects. The objects will fly wherever your avatar is facing when you are wearing the wand.

Aim the wand at an empty spot and pile up some crystals. Then hit them with a tantrum spell!
